Mt. St. Helens Hiking Trip
Here’s a photo from the hike we took on Mt. St. Helens the other week. It was really an incredible view, everywhere you looked, despite the swarms of insects and frogs. The easy two-mile hike we intended to go on turned out to be a downhill 5 mile hike, and by the end of the day, I think we would all have been happy if we never saw another hummock again. Still, it was a great day, and we ended it by eating brownies by the lake, and I think everyone had fun.

This is true - we all bought ice cream cones, and then sat down outside to enjoy them. Silence fell over the table as we all took our first bites - and then I asked if anyone else’s ice cream tasted funny.
It was more like ice with a bit of flavor added. It had the wrong texture, color, and flavor. A wholly unsatisfying substitute for real ice cream.
