Peyton’s Birth
So we went to the hospital about 8am and checked in to be induced.
They started me off with a gel to start my contractions, which didnt really take effect for a couple hours. at around 10am i started having mild regular contractions that were very tolerable. The nurses then started the pitocin iv at around 330pm. At this time i havent even made an real progress i was still at 1-2 cm and 80% effaced, i had been that way since i showed up. then at 630pm my doc broke my water, i wasnt hvaing any realy strong contractions until about 830pm, and they were still fairly tolerable, rose luckily was there and helped me to relax quite a bit. 
at 930 or 10pm i got a epiduralbecause i was so tired i needed to dull the pain a bit. so i got the epidural and it only really worked on the right side, i could feel some pain on my left, but i could still sleep. derek rose and i fell asleep shortly afterwards. then i woke up at 115am feeling a lot more pain on my left side and felt like i needed to make a bm. But it was the urge to push, the nurse came in and i told her so she checked me i was complete, but then peytons heart rate went down to 40-50bpm and wouldnt go up at all, the nurses and doc rushed in and gave me oxygen and got the or prepped for a csection. they rushed me in, but then when they hooked peytons heart monitor up his heart rate was good and stayed that way, so no csection. but we stayed in the or just to make sure. I started pushing around 2am and he was born at 358am!
he was 7lbs 15oz and 20 3/4 inches long!
he looks alot like j did when he was born..
were happy at home now and he has a little jaundice, but its not at any dangerous level.
im so happy hes here! we almost share a bday too!
